5 Horrifying Experiences you never want to experience.

5. Caught in the middle of a sweaty squashy deperate Queue for warm pepsi.

The atmosphere was tight, almost to the extent of rioting. Sandy, Anas and Jiaxin were stuck in the middle of a pushy crowd, pressure exerting on them from every direction. They were queuing up for free underpants, okay no, the truth is, they were queuing up to buy pepsi on the day of 2006 01 July.

It was the event of SYF at the national stadium. After an agonising long walk under the sun to the stadium, they finally got to sit. But grateful as they were for the seats in the sun again, they were uncontented. To the drinks store they went and very bravely punge into the mass of sweaty bodys and limbs.

The wait was long, slow and violent. People were pushing as though their life depended on it. For a couple of times, Sandy actually lose her temper and screamed at the mortals behind. Jiaxin and Anas merely tolerated patiently to get to the front of the queue. Afther getting in front, the guy asked Sandy to pour the 7 cups of pepsi herself, cover it herself and to pack it. She obligned.

During the squeeze out, the three of them acted as the situation required and pushed as violently as the crowd was against them. Coming out, they were dripping with sweat from multiple unknown people. Glancing back at the scene, Sandy shuddered and turned, walking away .

4.Being chased by a wild boar.

I was smilling happily at the thought of being lighter by 2kgs when i get home, cycling for the 2nd hour non-stop. I was with my mum, my 2 dare-devil god brothers and my godsis at Pulah Ubin(How u spell it ?) , we were cycling to Chek Jawa with the asistence of a mere map. Having lost out way twice in the green undergrowth of the forest, we tried a different path, and a highly steep slope(down) stands in our way. So, one by one we slid down with our bike carefully. Until the last one got down, a wild boar was looking at us with it head bent down looking like it was going to charge anytime. The younger god brother, acting like an idiot(Sorry if ur reading this, wei=D) screamed and proceeded up the slope again, as the boar started moving towards us. All of us panicked as the boar gained speed and we ran up the slope dragging our bikes behind us. For some reasons or other, the boar was unable to go up the slope (Maybe it was too fat, haha) and looked up at us resentfully from the bottom as we smirked at it. Oh, by the time we got to chek jawa it was high tide ! Damn !

3.Having a sugery to remove an ingrown toenail.

Yuck. It was a scary experience,

cuz by the time the doctor had finished with it, half of my toenail was gone.

Okay, my toenail had been hurting for rather a long time, ejecting thick yellow pus whenever it could and swelling up to the size of a salami.

I had been delaying the visit to the doctor by giving stupid reasons to my mum. One morning, my mum cancelled a drama meeting for me, and pulled me to the clinic. Aft the doctor injected the pain killer ? (e one that make it numb), i couldnt feel my leg. But contary to popular beliefs, when the doctor stick the point of the scissors in, i almost screamed. Can you imagine how painful it was ??

I couldnt even prod it without it ejecting another bucket of pus, and screaming in excruciating pain. But the doctor stuck a point of the scissors in !!! So what if i was injected with the pain killer ? It still hurt like hell ! I was squirming in the "bed", with my eyes closed telling myself it'd be over soon.

So anyway, i'm uber-glad it's over.

2.Having a charmeleon drop on your head,exactly.

Shudders, shudders.

For those of you who heard a blood-curdling scream during the second night of our sec 2 camp, that's it. The boys toilet was accesible to us girls during the night, right ? Nobody went in, everyone was busy queuing up in the girls toilet.

A brain wave suddenly hit me, and i pulled banu to the boys toilet, heh. heh. No queues.

The toilet was dark, and i walked in boldly as banu flicked the switch on. As the lights flicker,to my horror, something heavy and about the length of my palm to my elbow (tails included) dropped exactly on my head. The swishing tail flicked against my face and the claws gripped my hair tightly in the dark. "ARGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", I screamed, my expression suddenly fearful, hopping around and shaking my head agitatedly. As the lights was fully on, the charmeleon lost it's grip and fell from my head, stratching my arms with 3 strokes on the way.

Afther the episode, i went back down to the bunk.

Anas was complaining "....Whoa, damn loud leh, Who the hell ah.. Ah ! Sandy your here, back from the toilet right ? Did you hear the scream, bloody loud-", "IT'S ME LA! How would you feel if a charmeleon dropped on your head ? in the dark ? ". After that , everyone fussed over me, and i felt slightly more cheerful.=D

1.Contracting an eye infection that's rarer then "toto".

I'm sure all of you remember what hapopened to my right eye, early 2005.

The doctor told me, it's like 1 in 40,000 people or something like that. It was the worst pain i've ever experienced, yes, worst then the swelling toe. I vaguely remember being in class and my eye hurt at the sight of light. Like white hot fire was burning in my eye. My friends were very concerned and the teachers told me to go th the very boring sickbay. I chose to remained in class but after awhile, it hurt too badly and my eyes couldnt stop tearing. So i went to the sickbay and contacted mum.

Afther school mum took me to the clinic behind school, the doctor observed a "foreign particle" in my eyes. (it was a black dot near to my pupil). I saw it a couple of days ago but ignored it. And he asked me if it's been a week since that black dot appeared in my eyes, i mused over that question (cuz i couldnt remember) and decided to lie. "yes" i answered.

He then signed and say that it was a pity, cuz if it was there for less then a week, he could have the operation in his clinic , to remove the "foreign particle". I was mortified and kept asking how was it to be removed ?? Is he going to stick a tweezer into my eyes and pluck out the particle ? The thought freaked me out. But he said since it was over a week, it was too risky and he reffered me to the eye specialist hospital.

The people at the hospital said it was a rare case of eye particle ! I kept asking the guy if it was a "foreign particle" and claimed that the doctor in the clinic said so, and even offered to cut it off in my clinic ! "haha no no no, "he laughed as he squinted at the magnifying glass held over my tearing eyes.

He then gave me a eye pad and asked me not to open that eyes. He then sat down and beckoned my woried looking mum from the sits, and started explaining that it was an eye infection caused by my contact lenses. And it's rare. And i got it. (Damn!) He also told me that's a chance that that eye might lose it's ability to see. My heart skipped a beat at that moment. He prescribed me 3 bottles of eye medicine, each costing like 30+. It's a mini bottle, like your eye drops. I was supposed to drip it every 5 minute for an hour. And after that every hour. If i was lucky i wouldnt lose my eye, if i wasnt, well...

My dad then flew back from Sri Lanka to see me.

Fectch me home. So now my eye's okay although it's not very good. But i'm grateful i didnt lose one of my eye. So now i wash my contacts very carefully....

One thing that pisses me off is the doctor in the clinic ! THANK god i lied . Or else i'd have had the operation to remove the "foreign particle" in his clinic. And it WASNt a foreign particle at all ! He would have removed part of my eyes, more likely.

Phew.

[Till the experiences crease,
